A SAREE drape BUT using NO SAREE

Saree Pleats Styling PART 1 The Saree is very dear to me. Hence I keep coming up with different drape styles so I can motivate/encourage more people to love and wear them. Yes, my styles sometimes may mean crossing the line and even cutting the Saree. But, the main aim is always to draw attention to the Saree. This time I am focusing on the saree pleats. Many of us shy away from wearing a saree because we cannot make those perfect pleats or can't handle them. However, did you know that if you learn to pleat the fabric you could drape the fabric in so many ways? They don't need to be 1000% perfect ;) The link in this post will take you to the DIY video/reel that will quickly show you how I used two different fabrics to create a fusion dress. Using pins is a must to secure the fabric. I separated the mulmul foil printed pallu from a saree and pleated it to make the lower drape. One one leg it looks like a dhoti while on the other it looks like

Monday Blues Can Be Pretty Too 😍

Blue Chiffon Lehenga Choli Mondayyyyyy...... a fun day,? Nahhhhh! Unless you are on a vacation mode. 🤪 But Monday badnaam hua kyun? Why do we detest Mondays. And, why do we make the colour blue look & feel so gloomy. It is a pretty colour no? Just like the clear blue sky that smiles at us during the day while providing infinite positive vibes. It is true we dread to face working Mondays after a chilled out Weekend. But darling at the end of the day Vitamin M is needed to clear all the bills. How about we wear a bright colour and start our week. Wearing a bright/dark shade of blue will make Mondays 💙 look cheerful. Try it! Designed this beautiful blue chiffon lehenga especially for those who love woven fabrics and simple cuts. You can wear this lehenga set minus the dupatta or with it. The kaftan blouse lining slip can be rolled to give a short inner blouse look depending on one's comfort. Howz it?

Pretty in Black....Always

Exclusive Black Lehenga Choli BLACK!!!! Always has your back. Right? Most people feel confident wearing black. This colour is synonymous to parties and hence, may be people get drawn to it easily, especially when they want to uplift their mood. The pattern/style, fabric doesn't matter. It injects instant confidence and only that matters. Can you relate? Well, though I love this colour, I avoid it as much as possible. The stares that I get from both genders makes me check if I am wearing clothes or not. Lolz 🤣. I wonder why it creates insecurities in many. Main itni Sunday hoon, main kya karun ?🤪. Beauty is skin deep and not superficial. Having said that, let me touch on another topic related to this colour - the skin colour. We may love black clothes, but there are many among us who do not like people with a darker/black complexion. My question is why? How does it matter? Should not only the character matter? People don't spare black cats too. I so lov

Yellow Rush To Brighten Our Lives ;)

Yellow Rush Lehenga Set We all need a little sunshine. How much ever you may love the gloomy weather, natural sunlight is something we all love.  You may say you love the rains more. And I wouldn't deny that as there are few who love the rains more than any other weather. But, not me. I run to my wardrobe to find a bright  colour to brighten my day. I may choose a red or royal blue outfit at first, however in the end I zero down on a yellow on the most dullest of days. Yellow in India is said to bring good luck. And people normally try to wear yellow outfits on Thursdays. To me yellow is a happy colour and apt for any celebration. Hence while designing this outfit, I decided to choose yellow as the main colour.  Imagine the splash of yellow in all your photos. It will be such a great sight. Yes na?

Multicolored Earthy Tones Lehenga Choli

Multicolored Lehenga Choli Being colourful yet subtle is not everybody's cup of tea ☕. Not all minds can imagine exactly what they want. Hence many of the creations turn out to be disasters. The best way to go colourful and not give anyone sore eyes is by incorporating earthy tones, using cotton printed fabric, and minimizing the use of over shiny embroidery. . We have created this multicolored lehenga design using simple yet rich printed fabric teamed with a sexy black printed choli and a light net dupatta. The borders on the lehenga and the embroidery on the dupatta make sure to not let anyone pass this one as a casual wear. And the net fabric makes sure not to hide the lehenga. What do you have to say? To shop  like the link mentioned.

How To Wear A Saree On An Anarkali

Saree on an Anarkali Somehow every August I make an attempt to start writing here and then I get busy. Hoping this time I continue it for the rest of the days. And what better colour than orange to start blogging again. Orange is just not a colour, it is my lucky charm. It has always been the Universe's answer to my prayers. A wish fulfillment colour ;). Wore this indo-western long anarkali dress yesterday to celebrate Independence Day. Draped a colourful saree on top of it first and then revealed the actual dress. I love all colours just like the colourful saree, but deep within I am total desi. I am proud being an Indian.  The saree is my identity.  It has given me the world 🌎 on a platter. Nazar mat lagana ji. Okay? (Just kidding). You can watch the reel in this dress by clicking the link.
